This rifle is supposedly intended for Iranian Revolutionary Guards, not the military. It bears a big resemblance to SCAR and the setup is very similar to what is seen in some tactical rifles.

It looks to be in 7.62 although The Firearm Blog mentions that it can be in 5.56 as well.
