USSOCOM goes with M-LOK

Soldier Systems Daily got the report of study by NSWC-Crane regarding the various modular rail systems. It basically states that M-LOK outperformed other modular rail system, sometimes by a wide margin.

The test was done for repeatability, endurance, rough handling, drop testing, and static failure load.

EOTech class action lawsuit claim form

L-3 Communications was sued for EOTech problems and Andrew Tyler decided to bring a class action lawsuit instead of utilizing the refund program. The lawsuit resulted in a propsed settlement.

Those who already got the refund from EOTech may be entitled to a $22.50 voucher towards the purchase of a new EOTech product.

Those who submitted theirs for refund but has not received a refund gets the purchase price up to the MSRP, plus shipping, $22.50 voucher like above

Those who wants to keep their EOTech will get $25-50 cash benefit or a $100 voucher for EOTech product.

The evaluation criteria and evaluation procedure was lined out and the result as well.

An interesting point shows up.

Class I and II failure numbers show that one of Colt actually did quite well, beating H&K's proposal. The best result was from Competitor F.

RAMBO: 3D-Printed Grenade Launcher


US Army Research, Development and Engineering Command researched on if a grenade launcher could be made using 3D printer.

In short, it was successful. Using Additive Manufacturing, barrel and receiver were made from Direct Metal Lasert Sintering process, while most of the other parts were made with 3D printers.

Kim Rhodes World Cup stop in New Delhi, India. The skeet shoot implemented the new rule of progressive elimination Final. According to AmmoLand.com, Shooters

shoot in qualification rank order, with that ranking deciding any ties for third thru sixth place.

The new Skeet Final is now based on 10-target sequences with eliminations or medal decisions occurring after 20, 30, 40, 50 and 60 targets. Rhode missed two targets out of her first 16 shots and then didn’t miss again for 33 consecutive targets to easily out-distance all her rivals, missing just four her 60 shots total.
