Caracal is re-entering the pistol market with its updated F model. The previous model had problems and as a preventive measure, all were recalled. The new pistol is supposed to have slightly different internal mechanism as well.
The pistol in the photo was not a production model, and the representatives said the final production will have different finish on the slide. It will now have a version with traditional front and rear sight, but Caracal will also offer the version with quick sight as well. The quick sight version will have a notch in the rear of slide to help with one hand slide racking.
CAR816 is a short-stroke gas piston rifle. This particular model had Wilcox light mounted to it.
