- varied magazine options
- ambidextrous controls
- rails
- hit 4 inch target at 50m range at least 90%
- ammunition should penetrate 14 inches into ballistic gel at 50 meters

The requirements are quite high, and it will be interesting to see if the guns make the requirement and be cost-effective. Ruger aleady announced they are not participating according to Guns.com
