There has been some questions on how far is the right to defending oneself extends. While it is great to be able to excercise that right everywhere, it can lead to collision with private property rights.
The Sixth Circuit court of appeals upheld Walgreen's termination of its pharmacist who used his concealed handgun to defend himself from armed robbers. It is unclear if this will go to the Supreme Court of the United States, but the balance between the two rights has been drawn somewhere.
If the private property or company allows concealed carry, then it would not be such a problem. Like this Illinois bank
