When firearm enthusiasts come to Las Vegas, there is usually a plan to stop by a shooting range and have fun with select-fire weapons. The oldest in town is The Gun Store on Tropicana Ave. Within last few years there has been some other new ranges.
Battlefield Vegas is one of those relative new comers. Located behind Circus Circus, it is a bit off the Strip, but has been building its business steadily since it opened.
As you drive in to the store you will notice the unmistakable sign of where you are. There are several military vehicles in the parking lot. They are used to transport visitors so even those who did not bring their car to Vegas can get a ride without calling a taxi(call 1 hour before)
When you step in to the store you can see the spacious area. Take a look around and you might see some interesting things.
Behind the counter, you will see mock guns on the wall, and the real ones being handled by the staff.
They have packages for various themes with price ranging from $99.99(Wild Geese package) to $695.99(Counter Strike Package). They also have a la carte available. There are various guns available and probably the best selection among Vegas ranges. You can get a glimpse of their collection in one of photos on the website.
Yes. A Minigun. It fires plastic rounds, but it is in a class of its own.
One of the most noticable thing is the service. Staff are very courteous and it is night and day compared to some other ranges.
Just how awesome is Battlefield Vegas? While I was there, Larry Vickers came by to film an episode for TAC TV.
