FBI changes firearms training regimen


FBI changed its firearms(pistol) training to reflect the nature of shooting agents face. FBI reviewed 200 shootings from the 17 year period, and found that 75% of the incidents happened within 3 yards.

New qualification now fires 60 rounds, 40 of which are fired between 3 - 7 yards. Old qualification fired 50 rounds, more than half from 15-25 yards. They also draw from concealment.

They also incorporated virtual scenarios.
