Double barrelled 1911

Arsenal Arms is releasing double barreled 1911, model AF2011-A1. Here is Youtube video.

Here's description from Youtube page

The AF2011-A1 obviously features a number of very special parts, such as the single slide, the single frame, the single spur double hammer, the single grip safety, the single body double mainspring housing and the single double cavity magazine floor plate, the long and double magazine latch, the special barrel bushings and the hold open lever and side lever safety with long shafts: but the most interesting feature of the new pistol which we strived to keep during the development of the project, is the interchangeability of most internal parts, which come as standard 1911 replacement parts. These include the firing pins, the firing pins plates, the sears groups, the triple springs, the inner parts of the mainspring housings, the recoil springs and recoil springs rods, the magazine bodies and inner parts, the sights (including after market adjustable sights) the grips and grips screws and bushings.

The AF2011-A1 ("Twenty Eleven" for aficionados) can be ordered either with 2 independent triggers and one sear group (left or right, with user-interchangeability for right or left operations) or with 2 triggers permanently joined and the choice of 1 or 2 sear groups.
The AF2011-A1 is available in mirror finish Deep Blue or with a 3400 Vickers surface hardness White Ash Nitrite coating.

Doppel Glock, say hello to your competitor. 1911 vs Glock has entered a new stage.

Smith & Wesson's teaser trailer

Smith & Wesson uploaded a video that says there is something new coming 4/12/2012. Considering there is M&P logo at the end, it is speculated that it is a new M&P model. Perhaps a new model or 2nd generation M&P(this is way off base speculation).

Earlier this year at SHOT show, S&W discontinued SD9 and SD40. I was not able to get the reason for such decision, but maybe this is one of the reasons.

Guns, Holsters and Gear found out that Smith & Wesson's Form 8-K quarterly filing showed that there is new model for the M&P platform, in concealed carry and personal protection as well as consumer and professional.

Randi Rogers leaves Team Glock

Randi Rogers announced she is leaving team Glock and going to Comp-Tac holsters.

It seems to be an extention of all the things that happened to Team Glock and Glock company itself.

Last year, Jessie Abbate's husband was charged with having sexual relationship wth a young girl, and that seemed to have brought the downfall of Team Glock. David Sevigny left too, and now Randi Rogers.

Glock's former CEO was also found guilty of embezzlement, and Gaston's former wife is suing to get her share back. There was also a news from last year that said Glock was investigated in Austria for tax evasion.

Suddenly, recent problems with Gen4 and brass ejection pattern seems so trivial.
