Double tap clarified

Shooting Illustrated's article on 'double tap' clears the confusion between 3 terms that are mistakenly used interchangeably(double tap, controlled pairs, and hammer). It has to do with number of sight pictures, and the article also talks about how we can present it to those who are not familiar with firearms.

Taurus introdues two new revolvers

Tauraus introduced 405 and 445 Ultra-light revolver.

405 is a .40S&W caliber revolver with 2 inch barrel and 5 round capacity. It is first .40 S&W caliber revolver from Taurus and only weighs 29 oz. MSRP will be $452

445 Ultra-light is chambered in .44 Special with 2 inch barrel and 5 round capacity weighting onlt 22 oz. MSRP is $514

Magpul's Remington 870 accessories preview

Magpul posted photos of their upcoming accessories for Remington 870 shotgun. First is the MOE forend. Second is the SGA stock.


You can adjust length of pull with the SGA stock, improved grip ergonomics, and it comes with recoil-reducing butt-pad.

More information would be released in January, presumably during the SHOT show.

Magpul product news

Magpul announces that the MS3 sling, The Art of the Precision Rifle DVD Set, and the ACS-L Stock is now being sent to distributors.

To make rooms for ACS-L stock, CTR and ACS stock' price will be lowered to $79.95 and $109.95, respectively. ACS-L stock is lighter version of their ACS stock, removing battery tubes.

MS3 is the improved version of their popular MS2 sling.

Ruger LCR .22LR review

Ruger came out with .22 version of their popular LCR revolver, and there are two reviews of the revolver, one from Michael Bane and another from American Rifleman.


Seems like this will be a good revolver to practice with, especially if you have the .38 spl or .357 magunum version. It can carry 8 rounds in the cylinder.
